Occasionally, it will become necessary to clear your browser cache in chrome. This will occasionally help malfunctioning websites to work, or aid in the functionality of apps and extensions. It's typically a good idea to try this step first when troubleshooting internet issues, as it is quick and easy to do and will solve most simple issues.

Step 1

Have your Chrome window open.

Step 2

Click on the three verticle dots in the upper right hand corner to reveal chrome's menu window. Select "Settings", near the bottom of the menu window.

Step 3

Once in Settings, scroll down until you see Privacy and Security. Click on Clear Browsing Data.

Step 4

In the window that pops up, select the drop-down to change the time period to "All time".

Step 5

Make sure Cookies and Cached images and files are both selected. Browsing data may not be available for you to select; whether it is or isn't doesn't really matter, as it's okay to retain browsing data. Click on Clear Data.

Step 6

Another thing to try if the clearing your cache doesn't give you the results you're looking for, try scrolling to the bottom of the advanced settings menu and selecting to Clean Up the computer or to reset Chrome settings to default.
