Collage and NUITEQ Snowflake Installation for PC


Collage and NUITEQ Snowflake can be installed from the Self Service Portal available to every district windows machine. This can be accessed either via this icon on your desktop:  

or in the lower right hand corner of your screen, there’s an arrow and then right click the color circle and click ‘self service portal’.



Click install next to Collage version 5.1, wait for that to finish and then click on install next to NUITEQ Snowflake. You will need to login to Snowflake immediately upon the install completing. If you don't, and attempt to launch from the desktop, you will be prompted for admin credentials and will need to put in a Help Desk ticket for assistance. You can then start it from the NUITEQ Snowflake icon on your desktop.

INSTALLING SNOWFLAKE ON MAC

Six simple steps to install Snowflake on your Mac computer.

1.


Go to https://www.getcleartouch.com/downloads/ to download the software. You will need to use your district email address to access the page downloads, as shown below.


Once the page loads, select the Snowflake for Mac button to download the software to your computer.



2. After downloading the Snowflake Zip, double click to open to make the PKG file. Double click the Snowflake PKG file to begin the installation.

You will receive a dialog box that will not allow the PKG to install. Click OK to continue and move to the next step.

Open your Mac’s Settings and choose the Security & Privacy icon. Click the lock icon to allow you to edit these options. At the bottom of the General tab please notice the info regarding the Snowflake PKG file you just tried to install. Select the Open Anyway button, you will notice the PKG reload and begin to install again.

Don’t be alarmed when you see another dialog box that reads as below, this time click the Open button - NOT the Cancel button.

The Snowflake install dialog box should now be ready to go. Continue through the steps here to finish the installation.

Once the installation is finished, your Mac needs to give Snowflake permission to share with the ClearTouch Panel.


Open your Mac’s System by selecting the System button. Select the Security & Privacy button. 

Select the Privacy Button near the top of the dialog box. Choose the Accessibility button in the left side list ( You may need to scroll to the bottom of the list to see it ). Click the lock icon and select Use Password Button, enter your account password to unlock the ghosted menu on the right.

Add the Snowflake program icon by pressing the + button and add it from the applications list that will open, click the box near it’s icon, close the lock icon and you're done.

INSTALLING COLLAGE ON MAC


Six simple steps to install Collage on your Mac computer.

1.


Go to https://www.getcleartouch.com/downloads/ to download the software. You will need to use your district email address to access the page downloads, as shown below.


Once the page loads, select the Collage for Mac button to download the software to your computer.

2. Select the DMG ( Disk Image ) file you just downloaded and double click it to mount the image so it will be ready to install the software. Drag and drop the Collage icon to the Applications folder to install.

Double click the Collage Icon to launch the program.

Give the application permission to open on your computer.

Launching Collage the first time will cause the operating system to pause it and require you to give the application permission to control your computer. Click the Open System Preferences button to begin.

Select the Privacy Button near the top of the dialog box. Choose the Accessibility button in the left side list ( You may need to scroll to the bottom of the list to see it ). Click the lock icon and select Use Password Button, enter your account password to unlock the ghosted menu on the right.

If the Collage program icon is in the list then simply tic the box near it’s name, close the lock icon and you're finished. If the Collage icon is NOT in the list then press the + button and add it from the applications list, tic the box near it’s icon, close the lock icon and you're done.

Launch the Collage program. The Connection Code screen should be displayed. Select the link at the bottom titled Switch To Advanced Mode, this will give you the correct number of boxes to enter the Collage digits on your ClearTouch Panel.

You should now be connected to the ClearTouch Panel.
